for North Carolina & School Uniform Drive

to Benefit Communities Affected by Hurricane Florence and Philadelphia Students

Saturday, October 6th at KICKS USA from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

10 Hour Drive to Fayetteville , NC & Wilmington , NC Led by Unity in the Community Scheduled for October 7th

September 24, 2018 (Philadelphia, PA) –  South Philadelphia’s Unity in the Community will team up with more than 30 local organizations ranging from small businesses and community organizations to churches and media outlets for a charity drive to benefit displaced residents in North Carolina and Philadelphia students in need of school uniforms.  The charity event will take place on Saturday, October 6 , 2018 at KICKS USA located at 2200 W. Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers will collect cases of bottled water, clothing, non-perishable foods, toiletries, undergarments, and uniforms.

Donations collected at the event will be transported personally by Unity in the Community and partners to The Boys and Girls Club Teen Center in New Bern, North Carolina. Groups traveling to New Bern, North Carolina will depart from 20th and Snyder Avenue in South Philadelphia on Sunday, October 7th.
