for Houston Relief & School Uniform Drive

to Benefit Communities Affected by Hurricane Harvey and Philadelphia Students

24 Hour Drive to Houston, TX Led by Unity in the Community Scheduled for September 30!

September 19, 2017 (Philadelphia, PA) –  South Philadelphia’s Unity in the Community will team up with more than 30 local organizations ranging from small businesses and community organizations to churches and media outlets for a charity drive to benefit displaced residents in Houston, TX and Philadelphia students in need of school uniforms.  The charity event will take place on Saturday, September 30 at KICKS USA located at 2200 W. Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.Organizers will collect cases of bottled water, clothing, non-perishable foods, toiletries, under garments and uniforms.

Donations collected at the event will be transported personally by Unity in the Community and partners to The Bridge (Southwest Christian Community Center) in Houston. Founder and Pastor Gregg J.Patrick will join Unity in the Community as they tour areas in Houston and distribute donations to residents in need.  Groups traveling to Houston will depart from 20th and Snyder Avenue in South Philadelphia on Saturday Sept. 30.
